The Physics program at Armstrong
Atlantic State University offers courses in Physical Science. Physical Science is a survey of the sciences that study the physical world. The areas of science included in the survey generally include Astronomy, Chemistry, Geology, Meteorology, Oceanography, and Physics. The Physical Science courses are lab science courses, and satisfy core course requirements in Core Area D. Students can also obtain a minor in Physical Science.
Minor in Physical Science
Students have the opportunity to minor in Physical Science. A Minor in Physical Science can be obtained by satisfying the following requirements:
PHSC 1211L PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT LAB (0-2-1)
[syllabus]
PHSC 1212 CHEMICAL ENVIRONMENT (3-0-3)
Laboratory investigations of the fundamental concepts, laws, and theories
of physics.
Fundamental concepts, laws, and theories of chemistry. For non- science
majors interested in a quantitative survey of the chemistry underlying
our world, including classification of the elements, basic chemical reactions,
atomic structure, and earth science.
